At phs Wastekit, we have over 30 trained and qualified in-house engineers located across the UK, and we’re happy to announce that they have helped over 5,500 businesses to reduce their waste costs in the last four years. In fact, with our free Wastesaving Audit, we guarantee to reduce a business’s waste disposal costs by up to 90%!

Here’s how we enable our customers to save money and reach their various waste goals…

Choosing the right solution for your business

We offer a comprehensive free Wastesaving Audit to help your business discover what waste disposal savings it can make with one of our waste balers or compactors. When completing your audit, we will first review your existing waste disposal practices and make recommendations on where savings could be made. This will include seeing if you can earn money from the recyclable materials you generate.

After providing the site survey and consultation, our expert engineers will recommend the best waste baler or compactor for your business premises and install it for you. At phs Wastekit, we have a variety of balers and compactors that are durable, easy-to-use and suitable for the size of your existing space.

The benefits of waste balers and compactors

You can reduce your waste costs

Every business is required to pay a landfill tax when they send general waste to landfill. This is charged at a standard rate of £91.35 per tonne from April 2019, and at lower rate of £2.90 per tonne (for inert and inactive waste, such as building materials). From April 2020, the charge will rise to a standard rate of £94.15 per tonne and a lower rate of £3.00 per tonne.

As waste balers can help you to improve your recycling rates, you can reduce your landfill tax costs by minimising the volume of waste you send to landfill. Additionally, balers segregate different materials, giving you the opportunity to sell your recyclable materials to recycling companies. If you choose a bin or bag compactor instead, you can also save money by paying for less frequent waste collections.

Recycling is easier

As we’ve already explained, our waste balers can help companies to increase the amount they recycle by making it easier for them to do so. They efficiently and effectively separate different materials that can be reused and recycled, such as cardboard and plastic. When waste is sent to landfill it decomposes for many years, releasing dangerous greenhouse gases into the air and contributing to global warming. So, you should be doing all you can to reduce waste.

By recycling more, your business will reduce its carbon footprint and improve its sustainability. This is highly important for ensuring the future health of our planet, and it is also something that is becoming increasingly important for consumers when choosing the companies they support and purchase from.

They keep your premises tidier

Waste balers and compactors enable you to save space in your business premises by compressing your recyclable materials with a baler or compactor. This makes it easier to store your business’s unwanted waste before transporting it off site, reducing the amount of waste bins you need within your building and generally making your premises look tidier. This ensures you give the best impression to your staff and customers.
