Elliott Brothers save 15% on waste disposal with PHS Wastekit Waste Crushers

Elliott Brothers Builders Merchants were reviewing their waste management arrangements when approached by Tracy Webster from PHS Wastekit, the waste baler and waste crusher rental specialists.

Roger Tarry, from Elliott Brothers said, “We’ve been working closely with Tracy, who’s been helping us try to reduce our current waste disposal costs and also to become more environmentally responsible.”

Following Tracy’s proposal, PHS Wastekit balers were installed in all branches, replacing the previous lower quality machines, with an additional two balers being installed at a further two branches.

In doing so, Elliott Brothers are saving 15% on baler rental costs compared to their previous supplier contract.

Roger continued, “As well as the being cheaper to run, PHS Wastekit balers produce more densely compacted bales. This has meant that we can now have our bales collected by a local recycling company who pays us for the baled waste. It’s a win-win situation!”

In addition to the balers, a Rollerpacker crusher machine has been installed to crush wooden pallets. Previously, Elliott Brothers’ wood waste was placed in a skip which was emptied every other week. Now it is backhauled to one central location and collected just once every 6 weeks, which has presented a significant cost saving.
